Spotted Crochet Blogs 2/2/2012

http://momwithahook.blogspot.com
Each week I like to share blogs I've come across that feature crochet in my Spotted Crochet Blog post. Stop by and say Hi to these crochet bloggers and mention that you found them via Momwithahook's Spotted Blog post.

Here are this weeks blogs:

Diamond Crochet and Crafts - is a mom of 5 children, 4 dogs and 2 kittens plus she goes to school full-time. Oh and of course she crochets. She runs an etsy shop and is on facebook and ravelry as well. She designs her own patterns and is currently doing a series of video tutorials for various crochet stitches. She's only had the blog since 2011 so go on over and welcome her to the crochet blogging community. Be sure to google follow her too.

I Design Adventures - I came across Design Adventures when searching for crochet patterns for boys. She has a textured scarf that her little one was modeling, which I found on Pinterest - which is how I came across her blog. She is a very generous crochet blogger in that she loves sharing her patterns. She even invites you to suggest topics and she might even design a pattern just for you.

Crochet for Free - is a great little crochet blog featuring free and $$ crochet patterns. She also features designers - her first being the lovely Liz of Playin' Hooky Designs. This blog is run by Tara of EasyMakesMeHappy. Stop on buy and check out the lovely crochet. While there be sure to check out her 'Crochet Blogs' post which classifies bloggers by color. You are welcome to submit your blog and your crochet pattern for review.

Cthulhucrochet - Amber is the blogger for Cthulhucrochets. She is also the creator of the lovely amigurumi Cthulhu. She was given a book about crochet one Christmas and like most of us became 'hooked'. She shares a number of free patterns as well as some crochet book reviews. Her blog is not strictly crochet as she knits and cross stitches as well but it is enough about crochet that I'm added her here.

Knotty Stitches - I came across this blog while researching Bavarian crochet. This blog is run by duo Michelle and Denise. They share their crafty projects and crochet tips. Check out the Bavarian stitch pillow cover she made - she made the back overlap and shares the pattern notes.

Crochet With Dee -  This is a blog worth visiting with a cup of tea and lots of time. Dee starting crocheting when she was young but has grown considerable in the art of crochet. She is a professional member of the Crochet Guild of America and teaches and designs. Many of her patterns have been published and she's won a number of prizes for her work. What caught my eye about this blog is the history of crochet  and her types of stitches post. Both posts are fantastic and definitely required reading when visiting her blog. P.S. visit her new blog dedicated solely to the hook.

Crochet Crazy - A funny little blog I came across while browsing - check out her post 'Three simple Actions Make Every Stitch' - a straight forward approach to teaching crochet.

Crochet Cabana - Most crochet bloggers know about Sandie's blog as it is a great resource crochet patterns. She also has a youtube channel and etsy shop. Stop by and say hi - her latest blog posts talks about her mishap with a crochet hook. Ouch.

Make in K Town - is a lovely crochet blog featuring fantastic photos of her projects. This year she is doing a Beyond the Square challenge and crocheting her way through the book of motifs. I found Barbara's blog while researching Bavarian crochet as well. This time however it's not a blanket. She made a little pattern called the Bavarian Popcorn Flower. [free pattern on her site]

SlogoSara - Momwithahook - writes on squidoo.com and enjoys sharing all things related to crochet. Don't miss out on updates subscribe to Momwithahook Crochet Newsletter.
